The better question would really be – just what are you doing that keeps you so busy you feel like you don’t have time to write about paratroopers, Marines, medieval armies, and all the other hundred and one plot bunnies that clamor for your attention?

But that’s WAY too long to use for a post title. 😜

So, just what DO I do when I’m not writing?

Well, for starters, I have a job making the graphics for board games. I started working for Compass Games in an internship during college, and after I graduated my boss offered me a paid position with them. Right now I’m working on about two games at once, so that keeps me busy!

Next, I help my mum with running her flea market booth! I’ve been her partner in crime yard sale shopping for a while now, and we both like shopping at flea markets, so it’s a natural for me to be helping her with her booth. I LOVE finding cool stuff to resell and figuring out how to stage things, even if it’s a challenge in the little 1-foot cubicles. As a bonus I get one of the cubicles to display my books and crochet dolls! 😁

That keeps me pretty busy, but the job that keeps me busiest is the one I take most seriously – cat wrangler. SOMEBODY has gotta keep my three lil’ stinky heads in line!

Of course, there’s the odd crochet project . . .

. . . Lego video . . .

. . . and book signing.

Not to mention doing research, trying to put together a WWII war correspondent impression, listening to old songs, and infodumping on everyone around me. 😆
