Thank you to the author for giving me a review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book reminded me of a story idea I’d had a long time ago, so it was interesting to me. Set in a fictional early-AD Europe, it follows two young chiefs’ sons (one being adopted) and the drama surrounding one chief’s sickness. There are PLOT TWISTS and unexpected alliances!
I loved Oday’s devotion to God, even in the middle of difficult circumstances and uncertainties. I know I would’ve had doubts and questions if I were in his situation. I really appreciated the reminder that it’s the power of God that works, not the unworthiness of His servant!
Overall an enjoyable book, fairly short so an easy read. I’d suggest it for 10+.
