Good morning my lovely peeps! I’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time, and I’m so happy that it’s finally here! In honor of my MC’s birthday, I am revealing the cover for my WIP, Yesterday Was Long Ago. This has been sitting in my files for a long time, and I’m so happy that I finally get to share it with y’all!
So here we go . . .

YAYYYYY y’all get to see this now! Since this is a sequel to We Gave Our Tomorrows, I made this in the same style, with the characters up top (from left to right: Petey, Reg, Parker, Rory, Cowboy) and an action shot on the bottom. The photo of the Marines was actually taken during the fighting in the city of Hue during the Tet Offensive in February of 1968 – which these guys do in fact get to be a part of.
My brother doesn’t care for my title, but I wanted it to sort of reflect the idea that the guys viewed America as the “Real World”, as well as the exhausting nature of the war “in country”. What do y’all think?
Stay tuned for more YWLA updates, as I’m getting close to finishing the first draft. Also, I have an upcoming interview with a newly published young author!

What a lovely cover, Phoebe! I’m so excited to see this published!
Thank you, me too!!! π
Yay! So exciting! And I like the title. I think it goes along well with “We Gave Our Tomorrows,” too.
Thank you! π₯° Yes, I liked that the titles are sort of similar.
